Winter Dates 2015


THE SEASON OF GOODWILL – Each year we hold a series of mini ‘events’ to support national/local charities and the nursery itself. This is to help our children to have an understanding of the ‘outside world’ and to encourage a sense of belonging within our community. Events are as follows:

FRIDAY 13TH NOVEMBER – CHILDREN IN NEED – Children and staff are coming to nursery in their pyjamas. - £1 minimum donation.                                                                                                                                                               MONDAY 16TH NOVEMBER – STARTING COLLECTIONS FOR THE GIFT BOX APPEAL – Please fill a shoebox with items for a man, woman or a dog. Donations of individual items and shoe boxes also welcome for the children to help to do in nursery. FRIDAY 4th DECEMBER – LAST DAY FOR GIFT BOX DONATIONS – A list of suggested items is in each playroom WEDNESDAY 10TH DECEMBER – ODD SHOES and SOCKS DAY – Dress your child in odd shoes and/or odd socks - please donate a pair of shoes that you or your child no longer wears – in aid of GAP KENYA.                                              THURSDAY 17TH DECEMBER – XMAS DINNER – please bring a tin of food from your cupboard at home which will be collected by our local food bank                                                                                                                                                       FRIDAY 18TH DECEMBER - XMAS JUMPER DAY – £1 min donation and wear a Christmas themed item of clothing in aid of Save the Children.                                                                                                                                                        LAST DAY OF TERM – Last day in nursery for funded and term-time only children.                                                       TUESDAY 22ND DECEMBER – RAINBOWS AND SUNSHINES CHRISTMAS PARTY – More details to follow nearer to the time MONDAY 4TH JANUARY - CHRISTMAS CARDS – Please save us your used greetings cards when you take them down in January for the children to practise their cutting skills on.
